After two years, Zoraldo locates the Eye of Aretpo--but he is foiled by Yuzuru Fuyuno. Fuyuno secures the Eye first, and Zoraldo chases him across Europe--finally cornering him in London in early June. [GBOT]

June 8. Professor Egon Spengler is honored by the Sons of Ether, but he and his wife Janine are kidnapped by Zoraldo, minion of Amot-Naphemus. The Extreme Ghostbusters are captured and neutralized. When Zoraldo summons Amot-Naphemus, the Great One, Dark God of Atlantis, with the Eye of Aretpo, New York is overrun by the Great One's zombie horde. John and Eden Spengler, Eric Stantz, Marie Lupin, and Inspector Anderson strap on proton packs and defeat Amot-Naphemus and Zoraldo, and free the Extreme Ghostbusters and the elder Spenglers from their spell. Founding of the latest know incarnation of Ghostbusters New York; second generation Ghostbusters Dr. Johnathan Christopher Spengler and Hermetic Wizard Eric Stantz are joined by Marie Lupin (daughter of original Ghostbuster ally Barney Lupin) and English policewoman Tessa Jane (T.J.) Anderson. Johnathan's twin sister, Dr. Eden Marie Spengler, becomes a part-time member of the team. [GBOT]
The Extreme Ghostbusters finally retire from active Ghostbusting duty. Dr. Kylie Griffin takes John Spengler's place at the Spengler Institute. Dr. Roland Jackson moves to GBI R&D. Eduardo Rivera becomes Commandant of Fort Arnold. Garrett Miller becomes a full time physical therapist, but remains listed as a GBI Reservist. [GBOT]
July. Under Eduardo Rivera's supervision, John, TJ, Eden, Eric, and Marie have their first case as official Ghostbusters, stopping the soulbound dolls known as Mary-Mary and Suzy-Suzy. [GBOT]

August 6. Lars Wallance and Nathan Gilbert are joined in a civil ceremony in London [GBOT]
September. Charlene Zeddemore, Jillian Holtzmann, TJ Anderson, and Marie Lupin are sent to Paris by GBI, to investigate the appearance of a werewolf in Notre Dame . After dealing with the werewolf, "Tungsten", Zeddemore and Holtzmann stay behind to give the Eiffel Tower a full diagnostic. [GBOT]
September. Ahagotsu, now known as "Quentin Harley" ("because of that damn comic character") visits New York when Zagnut is touring there in hopes of visiting his grandson MC Pharaoh (Tohnloq). Panther Panther and Eric Stantz meet, and discover he can somehow control the magical cat's powers. Bombie the zombie knocks Eric out and reclaims Panther-Panther, whom Eric has nicknamed "Pippi" [GBOT]
After the job in Paris, TJ Anderson returns to England for two weeks to visit her family during the official mourning for Queen Elizabeth II [GBOT, HA]
September. Rose Rivera enters art school and meets fellow student Anna Rodriguez. Rose becomes attracted to Rodriguez, finally accepting her lesbianism. Rose and Anna begin dating.[GBOT]
With the help of his mother Liz, Eric Stantz discovers that because some of Zephyranthes's life force was used to prevent Eric's natal death, he's inherited some ability to control the magical cat's powers. [GBOT]

At some point after this, the "future" Ghostbusters journey to 2003 to aid their forbears against the "Anti-Ghostbusters" [GBOT]
October. Thomas Jack Wallance born to Hayden Wallance and Jessica Venkman. At this writing, this is the first known grandchild of the original Ghostbusters. Accounts confirm that Peter and Dana Venkman are alive and well until at least this date. [GBOT]

June 13. On their twenty-fifth birthday, John and Eden are contacted by Lady Delphia and Professor Ulforce. Delphia and Ulforce have detected a massive temporal distortion centered around the date of their birth, June 13, 1999. Taking the code names "Romulus" and "Pollux", they are sent back in time to investigate the problem. They are returned to 2024 after solving it, but are troubled by Josiah Nodus's claim that Johnathan is "Lord Gemini", a figure from Atlantean prophesy. [GBOT]
October. Conchita Rivera, now a trauma councilor working for the NYPD, begins dating policeman Dennis Wu. Around that same time, Max Miller begins a relationship with an Irish exchange student and friend of Rose Rivera and Anna Rodriguez, Clodagh MacAuley[GBOT]
