Personally (and i find this completely atrocious, but still it cracks me up every time) my favorite line in the entire series is when Peter says to Ray (in GBII) in reference to the mood slime, "You're not sleeping with it, are you?" and he just looks at Egon. and the jig is up. cracks me up every time! so what are your favorite lines? i mean seriously, there's plenty for the pickins! let's hear it!

There are quite a few, but it's been a while so I'll only write the ones I remember off the top of my head -- my sense of humour is a little skewed so maybe others won't find them as funny as I did -- Peters Instantaneous Apology to Janine "Stop looking at me you got the bug eyes ...Janine, sorry about the bug eyes thing, I'll be in my office" Egon "losing his temper" "YOUR MOTHER!" Peter's confessional to Dana "I am hopelessly, desperately in love with you" in the middle of the visit The group on their commercial "We're ready to believe you!" Ray referring to accidently thinking about the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man RAY: "It just -- popped in there!" PETER: "WHAT just popped in there Ray?" And of course the famous Winston line "Ray, when someone asks you if you are a god, you say YES!" There are more but I can't remember them now ...don't really have any from GBII as I could only stomach watching it once.

Jeeze, I used to know these movies by heart. Lets see... Ghostbusters: man: what are you supposed to be? Some kind of cosmonaut? Peter: No, we're exterminators. Someone saw a cockroach on twelve. man:that's gotta be some cockroach Peter:bite your head off ,man! Ray:Where Do these stairs go? Peter:they go up! Peter: Egon, this reminds me of the time you tried to drill a hole in your head. Remember that? Egon:That would have worked if you hadn't stopped me. Peter:Alice, I'm going to ask you a couple of standard questions, okay? Have you or any of your family been diagnosed schizophrenic? Mentally incompetant? Alice: My Uncle thought he was St Jerome Peter: I'd call that a big yes. those are just a few of my favorites.

Welcome to our little nutty corner of the Internets. Based on your user name and avatar, I think you'll fit in here quite well.

My favorite line and scene from either movie can be found in GB2.
It's right after Mayor Clotch says "Somebody get me the Ghostbusters" and we see the guys suiting up while walking through the halls of the mental hospital. Egon and Ray are leading, with Louis out front explaining the disappearance of Oscar from Dana's apartment.
Ray: "It all makes sense: Vigo wants in on the 21st century. He needs a human body (or baby, I haven't tried closed captioning to figure out the exact line) to inhabit."
And then Winston: "And we're the only ones who can stop it."
Peter: "You bet we are!"
And then following that with the ECTO-1A in action, probably one of the best shots of the car in the whole movie in my opinion.
But that above scene just gets to the heart of when shit happens and someone has to deal with it, who ya gonna call? The answers obvious and that scene delivers.

From the first Ghostbusters:
Peter: Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together....... MASS HYSTERIA!!!!!
I actually used that sound byte on a promo spot I did back when I was doing college radio once upon a time.
From Ghostbusters II:
Winston: So this stuff feeds on bad vibes ?
Ray: Like a cop in a donut factory.
That exchange busts me up every time.
