New updates on the Previously discussed video game (first reported as a CGI GB3 apparently in error)

Well I have a PC & an original PS. I forget how retroactive PS games are...? I'm covered on 1 platform at least...whew. What a great birthday gift it would make next year!

I'm looking forward to the Wii version most of all, primarily for two reasons:

1.) It's the system I own. >_<

2.) Motion-sensitive controls are a PERFECT fit for a GB game. Imagine actually having to pull your targets towards a trap, for example.

Wow that sounds awesome! What's the release date for the Ghostbusters game? By looking at the screenshots this maybe the best game! :D

The official site is now up. It's a little sparse right now, but I think it's quite well designed.

EDIT: Our first look at the gameplay:

It's clearly from an unfinished build, but hot DAMN does this look fun. Sorry to hear you aren't excited for it, Fritz, but for me, this is a dream come true.

The Ghostbustersgame.com site is now "hiring", which looks so far to only be access to a banner, an IM icon, and some Slimer wallpapers. It's suspiciously similar to the form you use to sign up for Sierra's mailing list, except it does ask for a "Password"

I moved my griping to a seperate thread, so this one can be kept for more "postiive" updates.

I spent a lot of last afternoon trudging around town looking for a Wii, and the local Gamestops have the coming soon/empty display boxes out for this. The date's been moved back to right before Halloween, too, which actually makes some sense. I'll likely pick it up and give it a shot.

So, I am watching Ace of Cakes and I just wanted to share my thoughts. I think that it would be neat if or when they put the game out to have a party or whatever they do and have Ace of Cakes make them a cake as a proton pack replica, I think that would be awesome! If they read this and do it then I would like them to post pictures of the cake for everyone to see.

ok I learned something new...I can't watch the library scene in GB without speculating about the game--Anyone else?

Well anyway...the librarian apparently knows something about the Gozer thing and we know that she eventually leads them into a demensional gateway, or Hell, or whatever. So what if in the scene where the bookcase falls over ( I understand that originally it was a sight gag refernce to something Dan saw before in a show or movie) but what if she was actually trying to lead them to the secret room/demension then? So it really is like unfinished business between the GB and Gozer. I think the plot will be VERY interesting from this perspective, its the characterization that scares the bageebers out of me.

Any thoughts?

I find myself more and more frequently here at my 'happy place'. The new blog chapter posted at protoncharging made me literally cringe! Now don't panic, they didn't actually say anything too earth shaddering, but my brain automatically went to earth shaddering. Fritz! Make it all go away! Build the walls of fanfiction around me as a wall against oppression!

AAAAAHHhhhaaahhhhhhaaaahhhhhhhhaaaaaaahhhhhhh.

Mick, I'm a Diva, I can't help but to overreact, especially if things don't seem to be going my way. :P

So, give me some reasons as to why I am overreacting---devil's advocate if you will.

I think it was the whole paragraph about how they threw all the RGB stuff out and how this game is a "direct" sequal to the movies, that direct just seems like such a nail in the cofin.

I would really like to hear how you and others feel about this, it would be nice to hear from some people who aren't as obsessive about E/J as I am (and others I'm sure). Do you think the plot has anything to worry about? Is there anything that you absolutely have to have in the game to consider it good?
