Swearing, not so much.
It's hard to read the changed subtitles when you can speak fluent German and can actually understand the conversation without the subtitles.
I suppose it's humorous, though.

He's a wizard, I wouldn't be surprised if he knew the phrase, 'where's the bathroom,' in every known language and most of the dead ones.

That you may, Spenglerite, as that one is my second language.
German, third.
Greek, fourth.
I never really got far enough into Hebrew to consider it another language.
I start Old English this fall. Not the stuff of Chaucer and Canterbury Tales, mind you...I'm talking about the nigh unreadable "Beowulf" Old English.

Well thank you.
Good luck on that nigh unreadable Old English-- it really gets my goat.
I took 5 years of latin in middle & high school, and i grew up speaking french with my grandmother.
i can string a sentence together in german, and it goes something like "Ich habe eine ananas in meiner unterhosen."
Not exactly nice stuff, that.
I'm thinking about taking Greek or Hebrew this fall (I got into Liberty, by the way) but I'm planning on minoring in French.
Languages are awesome, especially when they're not your own.

You have a pineapple in your underpants?

I suggest Greek. It is less likely to make you want to pull your hair out.
Half of the Hebrew alphabet looks like the same character.

YES! Minor in latin if you still can.
It's entirely possible-- i never have anything nice to say when it's in German.
I don't like having to learn new alphabets.
Greek and Hebrew kinda slay my brain.
