This was the third story I submitted to GBN, but actually the first Ghostbuster fan fic I'd written when I got "back into" the Ghostbusters in late 2002. This story was, in some ways, embraced even more than I really wanted it to originally: one of the central ideas (which both nodded to Harold Ramis's wishes in a way, and explained why a noted supporting character wasn't around for EGB at all) seemed to strike such a chord with people it became part of the GBOT fan fic continuity even though I wasn't 100% sure I really wanted it canonized.
