So I was itching for something to draw recently and I decided to do a version of Dr. Lars Pinfield, the parabiologist introduced in Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire and played by English comedian James Acaster.

I actually like the character a lot--he acted more like a Spengler in two minutes than Callie has in two entire movies.

In the movie, he worked for Zeddemore Industries' Paranormal Research Center. As GBWiki described him: "Lars is very serious about his job, ghosts, and ghostbusting. If he thinks someone doesn't match is level of seriousness, he doesn't respect them."

I even wrote a version of the character into my fan fic continuity; he's pretty much the same, except he works in the Ghostbusters International headquarters. He also seems to annoy the Spengler Institute (a joint venture between GBI, Spengler Labs, and Columbia University) a great deal.

I would've never recognised him as one of the many comedians I've seen on celebrity editions of quizzes and cooking shows and such. :P

He has the look of one too! (In both incarnations; I did an image search to compare.) Thinking more of the the cartoons there, of course...

Speaking of Callie reminds me that Jake and I at some point... well, you'll see roughly when... watched 'Chicken, He Clucked' out of curiosity, and Jake said of the librarian, 'Well, she's obviously the mum of the woman in the film.' (Or maybe that's not so funny... :?)
