I gotta put something in this forum since I made it, I guess :P

There were actually four threads on the old forum, one for each issue:

http://ectozone.proboards31.com/index.c ... 1086877418

http://ectozone.proboards31.com/index.c ... 1090463848

http://ectozone.proboards31.com/index.c ... 1100198530

http://ectozone.proboards31.com/index.c ... 1106185356

And the stuff I wrote about #1:
http://archive.ectozone.com/archive/gblegion1.html

Now, of course, a lot of it is tinged with bitterness and melancholy. Legion was such a great mini-series. Good writing, top-notch art...

...And an editor/company owner with the business sense of aluminum siding.

Grife on a pony, it's been two sprocking years since the hardover was first scheduled to come out (Halloween 2005 anyone?). At least with the iBooks failure, we could blame Barnes and Noble. 88MPH there's noone to blame but themselves.

What we've missed: the return of Vinz Clortho. The potential hilarity of Egon and Janine's first date. And a pile of issues...

Sit down and calculate it: if Legion #1 had come out on time, February 2004, it would have finished in May 2004. A month off before the ongoing series, and Ghostbusters #1 would have come out in July 2004. So in Bizarro World, Ghostbusters #38 would come out this month (August 2007)

And I'd be writing it and Chris Spade would be drawing it, while I'm dreaming. :)

So we could have had a hardcover and 38 comic books. Instead, well, you know...ducking the question and a pile of empty promises.

I wonder who would be coloring it? ;)

I'm convinced I'll get this hardcover in time for it to be buried/cremated with me. I'd prefer in my Halloween basket or under my Christmas Tree...

So, I bought Legion (overpriced UK Softcover) and read it and it was really fun. The Story was really good, I liked the art (except Janine).. but "Vol. 2 coming soon" at the end was just cruel. The story had potential (with one of the guys working at Supernatural no surprise), like Fritz pointed out
Quote:

I missed the date... and come to think about it, what had a guy named Vinz to do with an ancient god?

Somebody could pass me that sour grapes while I try to get some of the IDW Comics and hope they turn out alright.
