As I recall, the "screaming" feature was supposed to work like this:
Wind up the figure.
Attach the ghost.
Flip the switch.
The figure whirls, and the metallic part or something inside the ghost amplifies the gear sound to make a wailing noise, thus the alleged "scream" It never worked real well, in my opinion, but the PKE Meter and the Ghost Trap made buying the figures worth it.
I ended up getting all five, though I later lopped off Janine's 1987/1988 head and glued on one from an extra Power Pack figure. Since Screaming Janine was in a skirt, it's the closest we ever got to her "hanging around the office" look.
This week we are ending the months with highway honter .

I never knew thats what it was supposed to do. they never worked for me as well. thats probably why I didn't know. Reminds me of the talking TNNT toys of the 80s They didn't work ether.
also its odd to think there is a decapitated Janine head ruling around at your place. Some inspirations for the flip side Chelsea Aberdeen ? ^_^

I know we had the Krang with the robot legs; I think we had the six-inch version, but not this big one.
Ogre and I often contemplated whether the robot body's design resembled Krang's original form before he was turned into a pseudo-Utrom. We figured he was originally a rock creature like General Traag (I think that was his name) and turned into the pseudo-Utrom when he was exiled to Earth.
